Hephaestus's Gift

This necklace is worthy of the name Hephaestus's Gift. The Greek god of fire and metalwork would be pleased to give this necklace to Aphrodite.
 
I start by subjecting stainless steel links to temperatures ranging from 400-630F, then painstakingly connect the links together with gold-plated links in my custom pattern to create a chainmail necklace that draws on the images of Byzantine jewelry. The result is a necklace that seems to glow with the variegated colors of fired steel and the lustre of the gold.
 
Hephaestus's Gift, like the rest of the popular Byzantine line, embodies the Iron Lace ideal of knitting with shining steel, combining custom elegance with lasting strength. The Byzantine pairs elegantly with a dress for a formal occasion, or can be thrown on with a t-shirt and jeans to pick up kids at the bus stop. This is imperial art you truly can wear everyday.
